We are seeking an innovative, self-driven Senior Cryptography R&D Engineer to join our cutting-edge team working on critical projects for the US Army and Department of Defense. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement advanced cryptographic algorithms and Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) systems to safeguard sensitive data across various digital platforms. As a key member of our R&D team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity of critical information, while also conducting hands-on research and providing technical expertise in the ICAM domain. Your skills will be crucial in identifying vulnerabilities in existing security systems, creating robust next-generation solutions, and contributing to the development of state-of-the-art encryption and access management technologies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to push the boundaries of data protection and make a significant impact on national security through innovative research and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Typically has a University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years of related work experience.

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance

  • Expertise in security domains, including cryptography, network security, and zero trust architecture

  • Experience with functional programming languages (Clojure preferred) and software design in a functional paradigm

  • Strong background in algorithms, formal methods, or related academic/professional research

  • Proficiency in relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and complex SQL queries

  • Experience with Linux, shell scripting, Git, and containerization technologies

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of PLT/compiler design

  • Experience with Python and DevOps practices

  • Background in security architecture and threat modeling

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$98,500 - 206,800 USD
