FIRST FINANCIAL BANK N.A. Data Center Operator I - Operations Center in Abilene, Texas
OVERVIEW AND DETAILS:
Executes daily tasks on various computing platforms within a formal data center environment. Runs programs, data backups and print jobs as scheduled. Monitors operation and stability of the enterprise computer system, maintains printer resources, including forms and paper. Candidate will work with other departments and 3rd party vendors as needed. Accuracy and attention to detail are very important to this job role.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Executes a high number of tasks on core computer and server systems leveraging automation software.
Exposure and experience with Microsoft Office applications is required
Prepare, submit, monitor and review daily job tasks ensuring job completion/success.
Perform and verify daily backup routines and data entry tasks
Print various forms ensuring proper alignment/quality and distribute to appropriate entities
Maintain daily job, access, problem and system performance logs
Maintain and update procedural documentation and manuals
Be able to problem solve in a professional manner.
Ability to rotate shift schedules, weekends and/or holidays.
Other duties and special projects as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate or equivalent and 2 years experience working with computers is required.
Two years of computer related college courses preferred.
Knowledge of computer operating systems (Windows 7 and above) preferred.
Knowledge level sufficient to understand and follow involved instructions and handle frequent deadlines.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work in a professional environment.
Experience with IBM AS400 and Microsoft Office platforms is preferred.
Duties and responsibilities require judgement, initiative and attention to detail.
Excellent self-directed work habits and good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Position requires ability to sit for long periods using standard office computer equipment.
