We are currently seeking detail-oriented and compassionate individuals to join the team as an Outpatient Registration Representative. This position is contract-to-permanent.

Position Summary:

As an Outpatient Registration Representative, you will play a vital role in the overall patient experience. You will be responsible for welcoming and registering patients who arrive for outpatient procedures Monday through Friday from 7:30-4:00. Your friendly demeanor and exceptional customer service skills will help ease patients' anxieties and ensure a smooth check-in process. This position requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality. Location: Abingdon, Virginia- on-site Job Type: permanent, Day Shift Monday through Friday 7:30-4:00

Responsibilities:

Obtain accurate demographic and insurance information from patients and enter it into the electronic health records system. Verify insurance coverage and assist patients with any necessary paperwork or documentation. Collaborate with the nursing and medical staff to ensure accurate patient information is relayed for prompt medical attention. Answer incoming phone calls, address inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate department or individual. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations. Provide exceptional customer service, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions. Collect payment prior to services being provided.
