Joni and Friends Supervisor, Projects in Agoura Hills, California
Duties:
Under the supervision of the Projects Director, the Supervisor, Projects will support the overall objectives of Joni and Friends’ Global Operations department, and performs duties and responsibilities including, but not limited to:
Provide inspirational and operational leadership
Meet regularly with direct reports for the purpose of coaching and development
Provide oversight into project progress, deadlines, pre and post event communication and report summaries.
Assign and coordinate project workloads
Provide mentoring of project management and conflict resolution skills
Support the Projects Director
Collaboration with strategic planning, goal development and division objectives
Developing and Identifying Project staff and volunteer training needs
Oversee building and resourcing of Wheels for the World™ and International Family Retreat Projects
Provide oversight to ensure team members are adequately vetted and provided with role specific resources
Manage project progress and ensure project metrics are recorded at project completion
Oversee and analyze the maintenance and regular updates of volunteer on-line applications
Oversee Project tracking in Salesforce database
Supervise timely entry of volunteer application status
Ensure Project metrics are accurate and updated in a timely manner
Provide oversight into team travel logistics
Oversee flight purchases and outreach itineraries
Maintain financial stewardship practice
Ensure optimal logistics for outreach team travel
Oversee and update Project documents
Optimize communication with Volunteers, Team Leaders, Interns and In-Country Partners
Ensure the timely delivery of resource materials
Monitor and manage monthly inventory supplies for international teams
Maintain an updated list of volunteer items including Joni Books, t-shirts, journals, tools and Medical Kits.
Contribute to the updating of training materials
Development and updating of resource material with Projects Director, Programs team and other Global Operations team members, including but not limited to manuals, handbooks, forms and role descriptions.
Contribute to annual Wheels for the World™ and International Family Retreat budgets, in collaboration with Projects Director, Projects Administrator and Administrative Analyst
Create and Enter budgets into accounting software
Monitor expenses and close-out process
Travel 1-3 times per year, in support of training, team leading and relational development initiatives
Other duties and projects assigned by supervisor to support department and organizational needs
Qualifications:
Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the Joni and Friends statement of faith
Desire to serve in a growing and dynamic Christian service ministry
Bachelor’s degree and a 2+ minimum years of organizational leadership and / or supervisory experience required
Proven interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to effectively organize and prioritize a wide range of daily tasks with varied deadlines are necessary
Must be detail oriented, committed to accuracy, a team player and self-starter who is flexible and able to work independently
Must have a strong sense of confidentiality
Strong general computer skills are necessary along with a competent, working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Salesforce (or the equivalent) and the Internet
Understanding of Christian ministry and specifically Joni and Friends is desirable
Compensation is $28.00 - $32.00 per hour. This is a hybrid position, in the office Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, remote on Wednesdays and Fridays.
