Survey CAD Technician - Akron, OH - JOB 25-00940 Salary Range: $25.00 - $30.00/HR Permanent Position with Benefits Growing Akron, Ohio Engineering Firm is seeking a qualified Survey CAD Technician who will work in the field to provide support to the crew chief and assist in the completion of the team's daily tasks. TRAVEL: Travel is primarily local during the business day. Must have a valid driver's license and possess a driving record that will enable the employee to be insurable under the Company's standard vehicle insurance and general comprehensive liability insurance without additional costs to the Company. REQUIREMENTS: • An associate's degree in Surveying or a related field is required • Three or more years of experience is preferred but not required. • Must be proficient in MS Office, survey technology and equipment, and other industry-based software is required. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Operate and maintain survey instrumentation and data collection equipment; prepare and load assigned work vehicle for daily assignments • Use basic math skills to calculate distances, road elevations, and other computations; take detailed notes on site to support the team; place ground stakes at specific locations designated by the Crew Chief to mark construction coordinates. Depending on soil and terrain conditions, this task requires significant physical strength and flexibility. • Prepare detailed drawings and maps using computer-aided design (CAD) software to a high degree of accuracy.
