Parsons Corporation Principal Landscape Architect in Al-Sinaiyah, Saudi Arabia

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal Landscape Architect to join our team! In this role, you will lead the design and planning of innovative and sustainable outdoor spaces, from concept to completion. This position requires a visionary design leader who can combine artistic creativity with technical expertise, ensuring the highest standards of quality, environmental responsibility, and client satisfaction in every project while addressing the unique environmental challenges of Saudi Arabia. You will also have the exciting opportunity to contribute to the prestigious Yanbu project, a cornerstone of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Manage small to medium-scale, complex landscape architecture projects, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including architects, urban planners, engineers, and environmental consultants.

  • Drive design excellence, foster strong client relationships, and contribute to the overall growth of the newly established in-house design unit.

  • Oversee the development of design concepts, detailed design plans, and technical specifications.

  • Present and communicate design concepts effectively to clients, stakeholders, and the public.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and goals to deliver tailored landscape solutions.

  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and project reviews, ensuring clear communication and client satisfaction.

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring collaboration and integration of all project elements.

  • Provide design critiques and foster a creative, productive, and positive working environment.

  • Integrate sustainable design practices into all projects, considering environmental, social, and economic factors.

  • Stay current with the latest trends, technologies, and industry standards in landscape architecture and sustainability.

  • Champion innovative solutions that push the boundaries of design and enhance user experiences.

  • Oversee the preparation of detailed design drawings, site plans, specifications, and technical reports.

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and sustainability standards.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in landscape design or a relevant field.

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in landscape architecture, with at least 5 years in a leadership or principal role.

  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and GIS applications.

  • Strong understanding of horticulture, environmental planning, and sustainable design principles.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience with designing for arid and extreme environments is highly desirable.

  • Creativity and a keen eye for aesthetics.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent spoken and written English language skills with the ability to communicate effectively.

  • Proven ability to perform project management roles through knowledge of industry practices and regulations.

  • Knowledgeable of current technology, standards, and codes.
