The Operations Manager will ensure safe and efficient operations and serve as a company representative on regulatory issues. The Operations Manager will enhance the operational procedure, systems, and principles in information flow and management, and business processes, enhance management reporting and look for opportunities to improve.

Operations Manager Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers – Albany, GA

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers is currently seeking an Operations Manager with effective and successful management of productivity, quality control, and safety measures as set for PowerWorks Inc. to join our Contracts Management team on the Albany Military base.

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers, Inc.’s Operations Manager responsibilities:

  • Ensure quality control practices are met by conducting quality assurance and inspections Manage all maintenance operations, including coordinating repairs, providing technical support, processing, and tracking work orders.

  • Maintain staff schedules and verify the time in the HRIS system.

  • Assists the Management Team in assuring that disabled employees/clients are assigned to jobs adequate to their respected skills, abilities, and limitations in conformance with the written program prepared by the Rehabilitation Services staff.

  • Maintain a system for security and loss prevention. Maintain accountability of all keys, unlock/lock trailers, and open/close office daily.

  • Trains and develops direct reports to accurately complete contract tasks.

  • Identifying opportunities to standardize, expand our shifts and become interchangeable.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of methods to better meet workload requirements and increased efficiencies

  • Maintains performance standards required by the contract and keeps the Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager informed of significant facts concerning their department.

  • Assist in administrative duties, including input on hiring, onboarding, separation, and payroll information for team members when needed, to ensure processes are effective and efficient.

  • Handles all work-related accidents in accordance with organizational guidelines and ensures all invoices are correct and submitted in a timely manner. Maintains and submits all reports, receipts, and documents required by the government and PowerWorks.

  • Seeks out methods to improve processes to increase customer satisfaction.

  • Identifying opportunities to standardize, expand our shifts and become interchangeable.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Has responsibility for guiding and motivating a relatively large group of employees. A majority of time is spent in planning and assigning work, maintaining continuous operations, and supervising subordinate employees.

Requirements:

  • Level of knowledge normally gained through completion of an undergraduate degree

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive work-related experience

  • Quality Control certificates; OSHA 30 Hour Certificate

  • Experience with or possesses the ability to grow existing contracts or business revenue.

  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities

  • Prior Military experience, Senior NCO or Officer preferred.
