POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Project Coordinator

Salary Grade 18: $61,811 - $70,591

The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. is seeking a qualified candidates to fill a full time position of Project Coordinator in the Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS), Division of Addiction Treatment and Recovery (ATAR) to assist in its administration of the Project COPE (Community Overdose Prevention Education) grant, which is funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). Project COPE focuses on providing harm reduction education and tools to community partners who serve high-risk, underserved populations, including pregnant and postpartum people, survivors of domestic violence, the LGBTQ+ community, Native Americans, and older adults.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Providing day-to-day management and coordination of activities associated with the Project COPE grant. Coordinate and facilitate Project COPE trainings with community partners. Maintaining inventory of Project COPE harm reduction supplies. Packing and shipping harm reduction supplies to Project COPE sub-recipients, contractors, and relevant community partners. Serving as primary contact for sub-recipients and contractors on the project. Preparing various reports regarding the project's activities and coordinate the efforts of applicable workgroups. Coordinate with the Project Evaluator to collect data about project outcomes. Be able to travel up to 25% Minimum Qualifications:

An Associate degree is required with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in a project management role and/or in a behavioral health field, OR A Bachelor's degree with 2 years of professional experience as described in the first bullet, OR A Master's degree or J.D. with 1 year of professional experience as described in the first bullet, OR A PhD. Candidates must possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State at the time of appointment and continuously thereafter. Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates with a degree in public health, public administration, sociology, social work, psychology, or related field. Demonstrated experience implementing projects of similar size and complexity is desirable, including examples of projects or references who can speak to the success of those projects. Experience working in culturally diverse communities is an asset. Able to work independently and as a part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
