Manulife Senior Disability Administrator in Alberta

We are seeking an individual with the ability to grow and change with our dynamic business and who enjoys working in a team.

Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible for setting up long term disability (LTD) claims within tight deadlines.

• Supporting Disability Case Managers on a variety of tasks

• Providing customer service by phone and email

• Administrative duties such as follow-ups with claimants and doctors' offices for disability paperwork

• Data entry

• Handling emails within group email inboxes

• Basic Reporting

• Ad hoc administrative assignments

Required Qualifications:

• Excellent attention to detail

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• High rate of accuracy

• Strong PC skills with experience using Microsoft Office 365, especially Outlook, Word and Excel

• Excellent organization, prioritization, and planning abilities

• Adaptable, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment

• Fast learner who is proactive and takes initiative

• Able to work independently as well as within a team

• Analytical

• Ability to probe, investigate discrepancies and resolve issues

• Tact and diplomacy

• Must be flexible and able to cope with high workload volumes and conflicting deadlines

• Takes ownership of problems / issues and see to resolution

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education (college or university level) is an asset

  • Strong mathematical skills

  • 2 years minimum experience working in an administrative role is considered an asset

  • Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset

  • Knowledge of medical terminology an asset

  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills

Salary range is expected to be between

$38,250.00 CAD - $63,750.00 CAD
