Description
Robert Half is seeking a DevOps Engineer for a New Mexico based Government services organization.
Must be able to obtain a security clearance- US Citizenship required
As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll be a core member of our dynamic Corporate IT team. You will have the opportunity to work across multiple business units as you develop and support company-wide DevOps platforms, secure cloud solutions and projects, create integration solutions for existing cloud and on-prem services and integrate DevOps practices with a deep emphasis on security and reliability. What you’ll do as a Staff DevOps Engineer
o Work closely with Software Developers and IT staff on On-Premises and Cloud “DevOps” initiatives
o Leverage REST APIs, JSON and other common API models to develop integrations between software tooling and environments
o Work with internal customers on solutions built on common DevOps technologies including GitLab, Atlassian, Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure
o Create and support commodity DevOps tools, CI/CD practices, and documentation
o Provide support and technical assistance to end users on a variety of issues
o Present solution designs to various stakeholders for input, buy-in, and sign-off
o Ensure that the system design balances functional, service quality, and security compliance requirements

The successful DevOps Engineer will have
5 years DevOps Technology Support /DevOps Engineer
Must have experience with GitLab, Kubernetes and Artifactory
o High School Diploma or equivalent along with 11 years relevant experience or BS degree in Computer Science or related field with 5-7 years experience
o Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines and developing automations
o Proficiency with one or more programming languages
o Experience developing integrations with REST API, webhook
o Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration technologies (Kubernetes)
o Ability to obtain a security clearance, which includes US citizenship
Preferred skills:
o Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu
o Experience using common programming languages including Java, Python, GoLang
o Experience with Visual Studio Professional / Visual Studio Code
o Experience using GitLab CI/CD
o Experience with GitOps (e.g. FluxCD or ArgoCD)
o Experience with front-end development frameworks such as React UI
o Secret Security Clearance – Active or Inactive
