Robert Half Network Engineer in Allentown, Pennsylvania
Description We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our team in Allentown, Pennsylvania, offering a contract to hire employment opportunity. You will be a technical lead in your area of expertise and will play a key role in the coordination and leadership of unit, functional, and integration testing. This role requires a solid understanding of network components and the ability to evaluate their performance for efficient operation and future growth.
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical leadership in your area of specialization and manage medium to large size projects as required.
• Maintain regular communication with users, project leaders, and management to review project priorities and scope.
• Act as a coach and mentor to team members to achieve workflow standardization and design across the organization.
• Stay up-to-date with technological advancements and recommend new tools and alternatives to improve efficiency within the organization.
• Lead discussions in team and departmental committees providing data and system administration.
• Develop and implement strategies to meet the future information needs of the organization.
• Ensure adherence to current project management methodology across all team members.
• Develop, lead, and coordinate conventions, standards, and procedures to improve departmental function.
• Use knowledge of assigned area(s) and technologies to effectively deal with multiple and changing priorities.
• Utilize skills in Aruba Wireless, Cisco Routers, Switches, and Cisco Wireless. Requirements • Proficiency in Aruba Wireless
• Experience with Cisco Routers
• Knowledge of Switches
• Familiarity with Cisco Wireless
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer or relevant position
• Deep understanding of networking protocols
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks and projects
• Proven experience in network architecture and deployment
• Relevant professional certification (e.g. CompTIA Network+, CCNP) is a plus. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
