What is it that we do at Colonial Pipeline Company?

Colonial Pipeline is the largest refined products pipeline in the United States, transporting more than 100 million gallons or 2.5 million barrels per day. Colonial transports various grades of gasoline, diesel fuel, home heating oil, jet fuel, and fuels for the U.S. military through a pipeline system. Colonial transports approximately 45 percent of all fuel consumed on the East Coast, providing refined products to more than 50 million Americans.

About the Quality Assurance Coordinator (Associate or Senior) Position

The Quality Assurance Coordinator position may be filled at the Associate Level up to Senior Level depending on the skill set within the talent pool.

As a Quality Assurance Coordinator, you are responsible for maintaining and managing a comprehensive Quality Assurance Oversight program that meets industry standards and government regulations. This role ensures that employees are properly educated on requirements and regulations to deliver products that meet Colonial’s specifications. The Quality Assurance (QA) Coordinator is responsible for the activities of the quality assurance department, including, but not limited to, auditing, developing, implementing, and maintaining a variety of product standards and control mechanisms, and ensuring all product specifications are met.

What You Get to Do:

  • Implement and maintain product specifications, QA procedures, and QA handling guide to ensure compliancewith state, federal, and industry requirements, in addition to monitoring impact to product movement.

  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders on fuel specification changes.

  • Createand revise policies, procedures, forms, process control plans and flow charts to further enhance Colonial’s quality management system.

  • Participate in the Management of Change (MOC) process as required.

  • Engage stakeholders including Operations, IT, Maintenance, etc. early in project design and keep stakeholders updated through the Front-End Loading process to gain alignment and collaboration across the site.

  • Monitor and administer the Sample Manager LIMS system, regularly analyzes quality data, and suggest actions based on analysis.

  • Perform quality assurance audits throughout the pipeline to ensure quality standards are met.

  • Lead incident analysis teams to determine root cause, corrective actions, and lessons learned.

  • Analyze incident investigations to provide feedback and follow-up reports to internal/external customers, as required.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Science disciplines or other related fields of studyfrom an accredited college or university; will consider a combination of experience and/or education.

  • The ability to travel up to 30% of the timeis basedon work needs.

  • Ideally direct transferable experience in a laboratory.

  • Ideally experience in pipeline operations, Laboratory, refinery, and/or related work experience.
