Siemens Energy Inc. is seeking a Solution Engineer

in

Alpharetta, GA to participate in application engineering design and project engineering of excitation systems including brushless/ static excitation systems, starting frequency converters and its auxiliaries including switch gear and transformers from conceptualization to finalization. Perform engineering walkdowns. Hardware and software customization of the systems. Work on electrical and mechanical schematics. Work on engineering

calculations and settings for the above systems. Provide engineering support for grid compliance testing. Conduct internal testing and customer Factory Acceptance Testing. Support on-site execution for installation and remote support for Field Commissioning Engineers. 30% international travel required.

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience. Full term of experience must include working with: synchronous generators; power plant operation and design; power systems analysis; voltage regulation; construction, commissioning and field supervision of electrical power systems in power plants; power plants, switchgears and motor control center; and power transformers. Experience must also include: static frequency converters (SFC). 30% international travel required.
