The Sr Specialist Cybersecurity will be a key member of the Access Operations team within our Identity and Access Management (IAM) function in the Chief Security Office (CSO). This role requires a versatile professional who can drive continuous improvement through data analysis, metrics development, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional learning agility and strategic thinking, quickly adapting to new technologies while connecting operational activities to broader security objectives. Success in this fast-paced position requires exceptional interpersonal skills, sharp analytical thinking, and proven ability to deliver high-impact results in time-sensitive situations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize IAM processes, focusing on access provisioning, attestation, and lifecycle management

  • Analyze security data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities within access management systems

  • Develop and implement metrics to measure operational effectiveness and compliance

  • Collaborate with IT, compliance, and business teams to streamline access management workflows

  • Lead process improvement initiatives that balance security requirements with operational efficiency

  • Monitor and evaluate emerging IAM technologies and methodologies

  • Create and maintain documentation for access management processes and procedures

  • Support cybersecurity incident response related to access management issues

  • Provide subject matter expertise on IAM platforms and best practices

Technical Skills

The ideal candidate will have experience with some of the following technologies, with an opportunity to develop expertise in others:

  • Familiarity with Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platforms

  • Exposure to Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions

  • Understanding of authentication technologies such as Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

  • Basic knowledge of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) concepts

  • Interest in API integration and automation tools

  • Some experience with SQL or other data analysis tools

  • Exposure to cloud identity solutions (such as Azure AD, AWS IAM, etc.)

  • Basic scripting abilities in languages like PowerShell or Python (or willingness to learn)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, IAM, or related technology roles

  • Understanding of identity management concepts, access control models, and authentication methods

  • Experience with data analysis and metrics development

  • Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, etc.) and compliance requirements

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to analyze complex access scenarios

  • Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, LEAN, etc.) preferred

Job Contribution:

Technical professional with some experience. Sound technical knowledge growing through application, expanding knowledge of ATT technologies.

Education:

Required Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or Cyber Security related.

Experience:

Typically requires 2-3 years experience. Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role.

Our Sr Specialist Cybersecurity, earns between $105,600.00-$158,400.00 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.

Salary Range:

$94,300.00 - $158,400.00
