Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The role involves machinery maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, and installations within a high volume, continuous run working environment. The technician will perform predictive and preventative maintenance, read and understand mechanical prints, electrical wiring diagrams, AC/DC, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams, troubleshoot, repair and install mechanical components, and fabricate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform predictive and preventative maintenance within the facility.

• Conduct PM's including lubrication.

• Read and understand mechanical prints, electrical wiring diagrams, AC/DC circuits, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams.

• Troubleshoot, repair, and install mechanical components.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical controls (AC/DC), pneumatic equipment, and hydraulic equipment.

• Perform fabrication of equipment (welding arc and gas).

• Install conduits.

• Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.

• Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.

• Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.

• Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.

• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.

• Repair or replace defective parts.

• Install special functional and structural parts in devices.

• Lubricate and clean parts.

• Start devices to test their performance.

• Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.

• Initiate purchase orders for parts and machines.

Essential Skills

• Electromechanical troubleshooting experience ideally in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience with preventive maintenance.

• Ability to read and understand mechanical prints and electrical wiring diagrams.

• Knowledge of AC/DC circuits, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

• Mechanical repair skills.

• Fabrication skills including welding (arc and gas).

• Ability to work in a team environment.

• Flexibility to work additional and flexible hours including weekends as needed.

• Willingness and ability to work all shifts depending on company business needs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Amarillo, Texas.

The pay range for this position is $25.30 - $25.30
