For Ketjen we are looking for a Construction Lead.
Responsibilities:
Plans, directs, coordinates all activities concerned with the project construction phase for all CAPEX projects in Amsterdam.
Manage a group of people who are responsible for construction coordination activities.
Manages the conceptual development of the project construction and oversees its organization, scheduling, and implementation.
Proactively ensures compliance on all HSE aspects.
Brings about improvements in working methods and organization, and to promote standardization and deploys resources for the effective management of construction activities for projects.
During project FEL1 and 2 stages:
Lead studies to support the construction strategy
Responsible for estimate of hours / budget needed to support project
During FEL3:
Lead the activities to ensure construction activities are properly budgeted (time / cost / resources)
During Detailed Engineering:
Lead the activities to ensure construction activities follow the construction strategy
Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
During Construction phase:
Lead the activities to ensure construction activities follow the construction plan
Responsible for work schedule and budget
Prepare and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with suppliers and subcontractors
Keep abreast of regulations to meet legal requirements with respect to safety, health and environment.
Requirements:
At least Higher Professional Education/Technical University degree in Mechanical or Electrical or Chemical Engineering
At least 5 years of professional experience.
Construction – Knowledge of materials, chemical installations, methods, and the tools involved in the construction, repair and improvisation.
Design – Knowledge of design techniques, tools, technical plans and drawings.
Thorough knowledge of project controls
Knowledge of project Front End Process design, commissioning, and start-up
Knowledge of contracting and contracting strategies
Thorough understanding of engineering and construction productivity measurement
Ability to prepare and analyze critical path schedules
Ability to judge the quality of engineering and construction documents
Ability to supervise multi-disciplined Teams
Ability to drive collaboration within the department of the site
Proficiency in both English and Dutch highly desired
Knowledge of construction safety requirements and measurement
Permitted to work in Europe
