As a Data Center Technician , you will leverage your skills to support our on prem network and servers which support the ad platform which is distributed a across 6 sites globally. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting edge hardware and technologies while ensuring the reliability and scalability that our customers want to see from our platform. The ideal candidate would have a strong troubleshooting background and a strong grasp of network and server hardware.

Responsibilities

As a Data Center Operations Technician you will:

  • Follow established procedures regarding all aspects of server and network equipment maintenance, installation, and removal.

  • Physically install and decommission server and networking equipment, cabling, optics, and configurations.

  • Work with equipment vendors as required to diagnose and repair faulty equipment as well as order replacement parts and coordinate/document RMAs.

  • Assist in creation and documentation of new processes regarding migrations, expansions, and aspects of day-to-day activities regarding equipment maintenance, installation and removal.

  • Perform maintenance activities as directed through the ticketing system or by senior staff members and teams (some maintenance will occur overnight or on the weekends).

  • Ensure that the configuration database is accurate and up to date, floor plans are accurate and up-to-date and ensure compliance with the power allotment and take constant inventory of datacenter consumables and order stock as necessary.

  • Ability to work in a remote data center while managing incoming workflow and prioritizing tasks.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and basic knowledge of computer hardware and components AND years of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology

  • OR equivalent experience

  • Years of experience with Linux CLI.

  • Years of experience with Juniper MX & QFX Routers, Arista/Cisco Switches.

  • Years of experience with Dell 15G/16G Servers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent work experience AND years of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology

  • OR equivalent experience

  • Years ofexperience working in a production, mission-critical 24x7x365 datacenter environment.

  • CDCM / CDCP / CDCT data center certification tracks.

  • Dell TechDirect/ Arista / Juniper Network Certifications.

Background Check Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
