Denali Universal Services (DUS) Maintenance Technician in Anchorage, Alaska
Description
JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of facility Maintenance Supervisor, the employee performs office moves, furniture repairs, furniture assembly and disassembly, performs warehouse duties, snow removal and assists with other general maintenance functions as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Alaska driver’s license and safe driving record
Able to proficiently speak, read, understand and write English
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Transport equipment, furniture, and materials to and from the COPA complex including sensitive data and computer equipment
Install, repair, and refinish office furnishings to ensure a safe working environment
Light carpentry duties such as specialty crating and pallet building
Assist in identifying surplus items for donations to designated organizations as well as transporting and setup of these items
Assist with maintenance technician and utility functions as needed within the complex
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner
Willingness to perform other duties as required
Willingness to work at various locations as required

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee’s work requires routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items. Applicant will be required to successfully complete a post-offer pre-hire physical and Functional Capacity Exam.
