Raytheon Sensors Radio Frequency Components semiconductor wafer foundry is responsible for manufacturing the Gallium Nitride (GaN) and Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) MMIC chips as well as Gallium Antimonide (GaSb) IR Detectors that power world class defense systems made by Raytheon an RTX Company. The RFC Foundry has an opportunity for a Product Manager Lead, responsible for leading a team of Product Managers and managing the production program portfolio covering a broad range of program chipsets for internal customer programs.

As a Product Manager Lead, you will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Program Management teams. The Product Manager Lead will also have accountability for the Product Manager team, including staffing, training, and business system optimization. The skillsets covered by this group includes creation of production schedules, managing delivery commitments, contributing to Estimate at Completion budget packages, analyzing variance drivers, developing new business proposals, and communicating with customer organizations. This role will also manage the relationship with the engineering team to partner on business processes for product yield monitoring, production risk/opportunity identification, and determining leading indicators for cost and delivery impacts. The Product Manager Lead will also be responsible for managing the Sales & Operating Plan process for RFC, including coordination with the Production Control, Planning, Finance, and Program Office Business Development Teams.

The Product Manager Lead will report to the Factory Operations Manager and be responsible for the relationships with the internal customer program offices on current programs and future work proposals.

What You Will Do

  • Managing the Product Manager Team, including hiring and performance evaluation

  • Oversight of the quarterly Estimate at Completion financial packages, including variance analysis and identification of risks and opportunities

  • Oversight of the Product Managers’ portfolio of program performance monitoring, including work in progress, delivery commitments, and potential production problems to ensure that program requirements are met

  • Develop and manage the Sales & Operating Plan process for RFC

  • Coordinate activities between numerous cross-functional groups and clearly communicate material status and identified risks

  • Lead proposal teams to develop bid packages and lead the approval process

  • Operate effectively in a results-driven environment

  • Ensure full compliance of company policies and procedures

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and 10 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 7 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP or equivalent)

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a government US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and presentation skills

  • Good interpersonal skills to manage tasks that bridge operations, production control, engineering, supply chain, and customer relations

  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Teams)

  • Self-starter who requires minimal supervision, works well with teammates and customers, and has a results-based mindset and proven track record of success

  • Knowledge of working across business areas and interface at all levels of organization

  • Ability to multitask; well-organized and work well under pressure

  • Ability to translate functional, tactical actions and decisions into broad business impact

  • Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts with a proven track record of lean or six sigma project implementations.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
