Job Description Summary

The International Open Reporting Lead Specialist will: provide leadership and oversight for business operations to assure adherence to all aspects of internal company and external regulatory compliance; ensure appropriate mechanisms are in place to comply with relevant laws and regulations, and adherence to corporate programs and practices; have knowledge of global best practices and how own regions integrate with others; and maintain highly sensitive and confidential information related to internal investigations.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership to the internal Open Reporting/Ombuds process for Central/South America, Europe/Middle East/Africa, India, South/SE Asia, Japan, and New Zealand/Australia. Ensures reports of alleged misconduct are triaged, investigated and completed in a timely manner. Neutral representative to the employee base as resource for issues. Takes direction from internal Open Reporting/Ombuds leadership and the Chief Compliance Officer.

  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge GE HealthCare Spirit & Letter policies and analytical thinking to case management for raised integrity concerns.

  • Acts as a resource for part-time/local Ombudspersons. May lead small projects. Explains information to Compliance leadership as required. Manages sensitive and confidential issues.

  • Role at this level function with some autonomy but are subject to global practices and precedents or are covered by well-defined policies and operating procedures.

  • Uses judgment and could propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems. Has ability to prioritize information for data analysis. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced experience in internal corporate compliance/legal investigation case management. Knowledge level is comparable to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in pre-law, criminal justice, or similar (or a high school diploma with a relevant experience in managing compliance or internal corporate legal investigations).

  • Proficiency in English language required.

  • Strong ethics and personal integrity.

  • An interest to continually learn and grow professionally, sharing ideas and accepting feedback in the context of continuous improvement.
