Job Title: Millwright

Location: Full-time travel position

Full Time, Hourly

Role Definition

The Millwright will install, maintain , repair, retrofit, and/or remove machinery and equipment on construction sites, industrial facilities, and/or at our fabrication shop. Millwright services performed may include machine layout, setting and assembly, precision alignment, rigging, conveyance, structure assembly, custom fabrication, welding, maintenance and troubleshooting, start-up support, preventative maintenance, disconnecting and relocate piping, spouting and chute work, installation of pneumatic gravity fed material handling piping. The Millwright will adhere to the blueprint plans, schematic drawings, or manufacture specifications to produce the best end product for the customer. This role profile is subject to change at any time.

PROTECT PEOPLE

  • Operate hand tools, power tools, cutting, welding or fabrication machines, rigging equipment daily while following all manufacturer and Keen safety guidelines.

  • Comply with safety policies and procedures, environmental risks and hazards, and ensure daily workplace inspections are done accurately to accurately identify and correct workplace hazards.

BUILD RELATIONSHIPS

  • Represent Keen in a professional courteous manner and bridge communication with all departments and customers to ensure a proper job is completed to customer satisfaction.

  • Participate as a Keen team member on the job site and attend team meetings and trainings to ensure safety measures are used in the workplace.

FOCUS ON END GOALS

  • Perform a variety of work, including material handling and conveyance, machine setting, alignment, rigging, welding, custom fabrication, and dust control in multiple industries, including Food, Agriculture, Manufacturing, and Industrial construction markets.

  • Mechanical aptitude to be able to disconnect, rebuild, or relocate piping, spouting, and chute work, and install pneumatic and gravity-fed material handling.

  • Operate hand tools daily such as wrenches, hammers, power tools (hand grinders, saws, impact wrenches, drill press, plus various types of pneumatic and hydraulic tools), rigging equipment to assemble, install and align to ensure the proper functioning.

  • Maintain, install, repair, improve and troubleshoot all systems, equipment, and machinery for optimal safe working order according to blueprints, schematic drawings, and/or manufacture guidelines.

  • Operate simple and complex heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, boom lifts, gantry cranes, pneumatic wrenches, and all-terrain reach lifts.

DRIVE INNOVATION

  • Troubleshoot problems to detect defects or malfunctions of equipment, research, and share the proper solution.
