Position Overview: Currently seeking skilled Plumbers and HVAC Technicians to join our team in Ankeny, Iowa. Whether you have 6+ months of experience in plumbing, electrical, or construction labor—or you're familiar with mechanical work—this opportunity is for you. If you excel at soldering and can assist licensed journeyman technicians, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Support journeyman technicians with installing piping and heating/cooling units in residential, multi-family, and light industrial buildings.

• Assist in pipe delivery, installation, troubleshooting, and cleaning tasks on job sites.

• Utilize power tools and hand tools, including drills, screwdrivers, saws, and levels.

• Perform tasks that involve bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting up to 100+ lbs alongside team members.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with soldering is essential.

• At least 6 months of experience in plumbing, electrical, or skilled construction labor.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand tools.

• Valid driver's license.

• One year of plumber helper experience or mechanical/construction skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, troubleshooting, skilled trades, plumbing installation, and blueprint reading.

Work Environment:

• On-call shifts every six weeks, with added compensation.

• Monday–Friday schedule, 7 AM to 5 PM, with potential for 60+ hours weekly.

• Start at the job site or shop location; jeans, work boots, and work-appropriate t-shirts are required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
