We are seeking a System Test Engineer to validate Linux distributions, kernel updates, and configurations for security and performance across multiple hardware platforms. The role involves testing IBM MQ updates, patches, and releases to ensure seamless integration with AMQS Gen 4, and assessing Kubernetes environments for scalability and security in container orchestration and automated deployments. You will conduct infrastructure-level testing to support AMQS’s continuous improvement cycle, collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to identify and resolve issues, and develop and execute automated and manual test cases to ensure system resilience and compliance. Additionally, you will contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and document findings.
Responsibilities
Validate Linux distributions, kernel updates, and configurations for security and performance across multiple hardware platforms.
Test IBM MQ updates, patches, and releases to ensure seamless integration with AMQS Gen 4.
Assess Kubernetes environments for scalability and security in container orchestration and automated deployments.
Conduct infrastructure-level testing to support AMQS’s continuous improvement cycle.
Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to identify and resolve issues.
Develop and execute automated and manual test cases to ensure system resilience and compliance.
Contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and document findings.
Essential Skills
Experience in test design and test case design.
Proficiency with Kubernetes, MQ, and Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS).
Hands-on experience with Linux distributions and kernel-level testing.
Experience with IBM MQ, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized application deployments.
Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Ansible to automate testing procedures.
Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring, logging, and performance tuning.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior relevant experience in infrastructure testing, system administration, or related fields.
Knowledge of networking fundamentals, firewalls, and security best practices.
Familiarity with aviation industry standards and compliance requirements.
Work Environment
This is a 5-day a week onsite role, working partially in a lab environment. You will be part of an international organization with access to high-availability, real-time system environments.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/hr.
