Federal Emergency Management Agency Visual Information Specialist in Anniston, Alabama

Summary In this position you will work as a member of the Resilience, National Preparedness Directorate, Center for Domestic Preparedness, Curriculum Development & Evaluation Branch. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in state-of-the-art electronic and digital computer-associated techniques and technologies to design and prepare a wide variety of multimedia production work. Responsibilities What will I do in this position if hired? In this position, you will work as an integral member of the Media Development Team (MDT). Typical assignments include: Planning, coordinating, designing, and implementing visual information support. Designing and preparing a wide variety of general and technical illustrations, graphics, and digital photos and videos. Editing video and audio materials using state-of-the-art high-end nonlinear audio and video editing programs. Producing video and audio elements to be used in the communication of information in training courses. What else do I need to know? To qualify for this position at the GS-11 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Utilizing state-of-the-art electronic and digital computer associated techniques and technologies to plan, coordinate, design, and implement visual information support; and Consulting, evaluating, designing, developing, producing/reproducing or procuring visual products. OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. Degree must be in commercial art, fine arts, art history, industrial design, architecture, drafting, interior design, photography, visual communication, or other fields related to the position. OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related ORA combination of education and experience as described This position has an individual occupation requirement - Visual Information Series 1084 (opm.gov). Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study - commercial art, fine arts, art history, industrial design, architecture, drafting, interior design, photography, visual communication, or other fields related to the position.
