JOB REQUIREMENTS: Senior Production Lead - SENIO002109 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Summary: The main goal of a Senior Production Team Leader is to train, validate and motivate employees. The Senior Production Team Leader will operate on his/her assigned station to produce/support production of quality parts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Lead training of all new hires and support ongoing training for team members. * Determine priority/sequence of parts based on production/shipping schedule. * Ensure team members are completing standard work safely and accurately. * Directs crew on completion of daily tasks including but not limited to producing quality parts, ensuring compliance to all quality control standards, and scrap reduction. * Enforce safety and security procedures and encourages a culture of reporting potentially unsafe conditions. * Oversees multiple machines to meet production rates to maximize customer demands. * Communicate cross-functionally with Production, Warehouse and Shipping departments to ensure alignment of our customer driven strategy and direction. * Administer and lead problem solving process. * Continuously strive to drive, improve, and monitor companywide KPI\'s: safety (6s), people, quality, cost of production, delivery/Inventory, continuous improvement, finance/cash, and commercial. * Ensures employee and departmental compliance with all policies, procedures, values and mission. * Ensure that employee conducts is free from any form of harassment (sexual, racial, religious, etc.) * Ability to maintain regular attendance at facility. * Maintain general knowledge of basic computer skills including but not limited to: excel, word, email, PowerPoint and company ERP/HRIS systems. * Any other job assigned. Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving forklifts and pallets. The employee is occasionally exposed to hot or cold conditions. The noise level in the work environment is high and requires the use of hearing protections. We also require steel toed shoes and protective eyewear at all times in the plant. Must have a commitment to continuous personal and professional development which many include offsite training/travel. Language/Reasoning Ability/Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, count in simple units of measurement and or whole numbers. Ability to read, write and speak basic English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and write simple lists. Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with interpersonal conflict. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations May be asked to have a Forklift License to facilitate production. Ability to be certified as a crane operator, forklift and power lock out procedures mastered. OSHA training strongly preferred.
