Epic Operational Database Administrator III – IT Database Admin

Work location: Texas Health Resources 612 E. Lamar Arlington, TX

(Primarily Remote, must live in DFW area)

Work hours: Full Time Days (8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday) for 40 hrs/week.

Here’s What You Need

· Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field. 4 Years Relevant work experience. (Required)

· 5 Years Related DBA experience with a Bachelor's degree. (Preferred) or

· 9 Years Related DBA experience with no degree. (Required) and

· Specific experience may be required dependent on databases/products supported: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Netezza, Cache, etc. (Required)

· Related certification may be required dependent on databases/products supported: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Netezza, Cache, etc.. 12 Months (Required)

· Good oral, written and MS Office skills, working knowledge and excellent understanding of relevant databases

What You Will Do

· Review and monitor system and instance resources to insure continuous database operations

· Review performance, maintenance and utilities associated with each structure

· Review, where required, the purge/archive criteria

· Perform database software maintenance, patches

· Upgrade/migrate databases to current release levels

· Perform database maintenance functions

· DBMS software installation, creation and configuration of databases

· Implement, maintain, and test backup & recovery strategies

· Work with application vendor and/or other support to resolve database and app errors or issues,

· Providing technical assistance to other team members

· Document appropriate users/authority are in place
