Summary This position serves as management official (MO) and subject matter expert for VISN 17 Supply Chain Management. Collaborates/coordinates with management and Supply Chain staff at each VISN facility location and serves as the subject matter expert for the Supply Chain operations within VISN 17 in areas such as: property accountability, inventory management, warehousing, commodity standardization, strategic sourcing, general supply chain management, process improvement and data analysis. Responsibilities Duties include, but may not be limited to the following: Oversees, guides, manages and integrates supply chain operations across the organization; Plans and coordinates fiscal, acquisition, clinical and administrative operations; Establishes, monitors and manages the performance and measurement of logistics functions for all aspects of the supply chain; Conducts logistics audits, compliance reviews and program effectiveness/efficiency reviews; Manages all activities involved in the supply chain management to include sourcing, procurement and logistics management activities; Responsible for linking major business functions and processes within the organization into a cohesive and high performing business model; Forecast planning and budget execution for supplies, subsistence, durable medical equipment, medical gases, expendable/non-expendable and capital equipment, inventory management, warehouse operations, transportation and distribution; Leads and/or participates in regular meetings, ensuring logistics needs and requirements are being met; Performs other related duties as assigned.
