Summary You will serve as a MARINE BAND AFFAIRS SPECIALIST in the MARINE BAND BRANCH of HQ US MARINE CORPS. Responsibilities You will maintain files of commitments Band receives directly from the White House. You will supervise, manage, review, study, and develop guidance pertaining to the following specific operational aspects of the Marine Band:. You will ensure maximum exposure is afforded USMC community relations/recruiting efforts. You will serve as the Band Specialist responsible for the oversight, control and execution of the U.S. Marine Band’s educational music programs. You will oversee/participate in various phases of production to include addressing/submitting funding requests, reviewing scripts/storyboards. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing and/or refining policy and procedures for management of operational control of the Band; Reviews requests for appearances of the band annually and assigns these commitments upon approval; Seeks methods in which the Band can heighten public awareness and enhance community outreach programs.
