To help use achieve this mission, we are looking for talented Technical Program Managers who want to lead and deliver cross-cutting programs across all of the Worldwide Books and Kindle organization.

You will have the opportunity to work across a large organization, solving problems at a massive scale, and defining new technical approaches. This role is pivotal in driving projects that make our products better and easier to use for millions of customers.
Key job responsibilities
Own complex, cross-organization programs that are transforming our products and constantly improving customer experience worldwide.
Drive alignment across senior leaders, engineering teams, and product managers.
Collaborate with other TPMs and SDMs on roadmaps, priorities, planning, dependency mapping, forecasting, and tradeoffs.
Facilitate regular program meetings and provide updates to senior leadership on project status, milestones, and adjustments
Engage with Sr. SDEs and Principal Engineers to evaluate technical decisions.
A day in the life
A typical day might include working with engineers on a solution that improves customer data privacy, followed by working with product management on a document recommending the future direction of a product, and wrap up with a discussion on a new law coming into force in Europe.
You will have a highly visible role, with plenty of opportunity to present to the most senior levels of the Amazon Books organization. And you will work with teams across the globe as we build the next generation of products.

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of technical product or program management experience
7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
3+ years of software development experience
5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
