Primary Function

Ashland City is home to A. O. Smith’s largest water heating manufacturing facility in the United States and manufactures over two million residential water heaters every year. AnElectronics Technician D Shiftwill troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic components on industrial equipment plant wide.

We Offer

Regularly Scheduled Hours: Night Shift Opening (D Shift) - 7 pm to 7:30 am - Two Week Cycles (Continental) - 2 on / 2 off / 3 on / 2 off / 2 on / 3 off

Hourly Rate of Pay: $31.42/hr ($30.42/hr + 1.00/hr shift premium = $31.42/hr

Sign On Bonus Opportunity: $1500 ($500 after 3 months, $500 after 6 months, $500 after 12 months - must not be on a corrective action for attendance)

Responsibilities

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic components on industrial equipment plant wide

  • Perform electrical tasks on all equipment and repair equipment breakdowns in a timely manner

  • Use general knowledge and abilities to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED required; additional courses or training in electronic industrial controls preferred

  • Five years of experience in industrial maintenance or similar environment, or combination of education/experience

  • Knowledge of machine functions, equipment safety hazards, power source, stored energy, pinch points, ect.

  • Must be proficient in connecting to, communicating with, and general use of various PLC platforms

  • Excellent understanding of machine function logic and ability to troubleshoot various PLC type programming

  • In-depth understanding of control circuitry on all levels, such as burner controls VFDs and DC drives

  • Must have ability to read and troubleshoot with the use of electrical drawings and schematics
