POSITION SUMMARY Provide hotel guests the breakfast according to Hotel Brand requirements and maintain breakfast buffet, seating area and kitchen to Hotel Brand and Health Department standards.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Provide breakfast according to the Hotel Brank breakfast chart-cooked accordingly and offered in a pleasing presentation.
- Establish guest rapport with all to make them feel welcome.
- Follow assigned schedule for daily cleaning responsibilities and tasks. Maintain all logs as required per hotel and State Health Department requirements.
- Maintain daily food inventories working with front desk on occupancy to ensure food is available to satisfy the needs of our guests.
- Work with FD Supervisor in regards to ordering twice weekly or as needed and follow the minimum order requirement.
- Communicate maintenance concerns to Front Desk that need to be handled by engineering.
- Always maintain a professional appearance and attitude. Be readily available to assist guests, with food preparation or table clean up.
- Be aware and maintain proper cooking and storage temperatures.
- Be thoroughly knowledgeable of where all hotel facilities and rooms are located and all emergency procedures. Be prepared to assist the MOD in an emergency.
- Review the Meeting Room Schedule and handle accordingly.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the FD supervisor or General Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Serv-Safe certified
- Previous hotel experience preferred
- A willingness and passion to serve
- Good grooming and good personal presentation
- Ability to multi-task and display maintain composure under pressure
- Ability to communicate well in English, both verbally and in writing
Education:General education and/or comparable work experience
Work Environment:The employee will be exposed to contact with chemical mixtures when filling cleaning chemical containers and while cleaning assigned areas.
Physical Activities:To perform the essential functions of this position the individual must be able to see, speak and hear. An individual must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time with constant bending, stooping and reaching required. An individual should also be able to lift up to 75 lbs. and may frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 lb. Manual dexterity is necessary for the manipulation of cleaning tools, paperwork, etc. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
