Job Description

You report to the President/General Manager of all MRO sites in the USA, meaning three industrial plants and one office plant.

You assist the President/GM in his missions, which includes MRO operations, supply chain activities, spare sales, local marketing and sales, HR, customer support and finance.

In this frame, you have authority over all operational staff and the site in the absence of the President/GM.

You are authorized to implement the necessary measures to achieve the set objectives, in compliance with the processes and budgets approved by the company's management, in accordance with the President/GM's directives, client expectations, and current legislation.

The Assistant General Manager is responsible for supporting the SAU President/GM in all aspects of each SAU MRO facility to ensure we are meeting our operational and financial objectives and overall customer satisfaction to our customers.

Supports the President/GM and the Repair Station Managers in CAPEX initiatives, continuous improvement plans, process improvement, supporting complex offers as well as supporting the organization with transformation projects.

The Assistant General Manager is part of a team that is dedicated to highest level of operational performance and customer satisfaction.

The Assistant General Manager works with each Repair Station Manager and support staff throughout the Americas region as well as develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Responsible for the performance of the shops, esp. in terms of MRO operations, and their financial and qualitative results.

• Build and support alongside the Repair Station Managers, KPI's, OTD Improvement plans, 3 year roadmaps, customer presentations, etc…internally and with Central MRO Operations

• Support the risks & opportunities tracker in support of the OTD performance across all US MRO repair facilities.

• Participate in the construction of operational budgets and establish priorities within the allocated budgets

• Present and analyse the site results to the GM and support him for the preparation of all business reviews

• Act as a driving force for improving results, product innovation, and alerting to potential deviations by proposing corrective measure

• Responsible for the execution of the safety, hygiene, and environmental policy

• Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory processes regarding safety and operational maintenance and take any corrective measures in consultation with the GM.

• Authorized to make decisions and take necessary measures within your scope, with GM validation, in accordance with the law and company directives.

• Support Repair Stations to meet all of their regulatory, legal, social and moral obligations

• Support Group projects (Lean, Focus plan, etc.) and Innovation throughout the US MRO businesses

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field; Master's level preferred;

• 10+ years' of relevant Management experience in the Aerospace or other high-tech Industry. FAA Part 145 MRO experience preferred.

• Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently using both verbal and written techniques

• Highly detailed focus

• Excellent customer relationship and communication skills

• Training in Six Sigma or Process Excellence preferred

• Broad knowledge of Aerospace products and services desirable

d) Communication Skills

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.

• Ability to perform public presentation, reporting and synthesis

• Ability to help coordinate Quality, Environment and Health actions plans within Safran Services America repair stations.

• Ability to help respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

• Ability to help write speeches and articles for publications that conform to prescribed style and format.

• Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
