job summary:

We are searching for an Engineering Technician in Atlanta, GA(Midtown) to work at an industry leading company. Candidates should have a BS in Engineering and 5+ years of experience in pilot plant, R&D or manufacturing; preferably in food, beverage or other CPG industry.

This is a contract position expected to 9 months and could be longer.

responsibilities:

• Work closely with other R&D team members to problem-solve and to ensure maximum production efficiencies. Maintain accurate records and logs as required. Provide feedback to development team for pilot trials.

• Development of lab scale prototypes, producing pilot plans for both beverage-based parts and final products. Prepares beverages and conducts analytical tests on taste and/or odor according to sensory guidelines, including qualifying taste panelists. Assist in setting ingredient and product specifications

• Properly operate, trouble-shoot and maintain pilot scale processing equipment.

• Perform systematic preventative maintenance, including electrical or mechanical adjustments, inspections and minor repairs.

• Comply with all standard safety practices, safety rules, and all Company rules and policies. Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in the execution of the work schedule. Ensures the area is maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion. Read, understand, and comply with standard operating procedures and Safety Data Sheets.
