Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Contracts Paralegal to provide legal and administrative support within our government entity. The individual will assist in preparing, reviewing, and managing contracts, legal documents, and other related materials. This role is ideal for candidates with strong organizational skills and a keen interest in contract law who can effectively work within the complexities of the government structure.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in drafting and reviewing various legal agreements, contracts, and other legal documents.

• Perform legal research and collect relevant information to assist legal staff in decision-making.

• Review, proofread, and edit contracts for relevancy, accuracy, and legal compliance.

• Maintain and manage a comprehensive contract filing system.

• Draft and issue responses to contract inquiries and correspondence as needed.

• Liaise with relevant departments to ensure contracts meet compliance standards and address departmental needs.

• Prepare authoritative interpretations of contract provisions.

• Assist the legal department with special projects as needed.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field; a Bachelor's degree will be a plus.

• A minimum of 2 years experience as a paralegal, preferably in public law or contract law.

• Strong understanding of contract law and procurement regulations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and legal research software.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
