Sodexo Manager, Employee Relations in Atlanta, Georgia
Role Overview
Sodexo has an opening for a Manager, Employee Relations to join our team. The successful candidate will support the enterprise HR shared service delivery model by responding to and resolving escalated human resource incidents.
Primarily responsible for providing guidance to management in all areas of Employee Relations, with special expertise in guiding managers through the evaluation and investigation of employee performance issues and application of appropriate disciplinary action including constructive counseling, up to and including termination. Responsible for implementing, coordinating and/or administrating HR programs, policies and procedures. Participate in HR initiatives and special projects.
This position is fully remote. Incumbent will support locations and should reside in the Eastern or Central time zones.
What You'll Do
The successful candidate will:
Demonstrate ability to obtain all necessary factual information, apply experience to interpret key issues, determine policy and process applicability and communicate recommendations.
Work with managers/supervisors to ensure Operations-prepared documentation is thorough and accurate; identify inadequacies and provide coaching to improve future documentation.
Accurately document case work and response within case management system to ensure comprehensive audit trail.
Use subject matter expertise in coaching and counseling to effectively advise managers on appropriate corrective or disciplinary measures in support of business strategies and Company policy and to provide guidance to employees on escalated employee concerns.
Partner with the Labor Relations, Law Department, ER Center and other corporate HR resources as necessary to ensure effective case management and resolution.
Effectively identify issues that may give rise to harassment, discrimination or retaliation claims and escalate to appropriate resources for investigation.
Support units with background check issues, in partnership with Corporate Security and Legal.
Visit Company locations, as needed, contact supervisors, review policy manuals, and consult with other subject matter experts in the Company as necessary to assist in resolving complaints within established SLAs.
Participate in various HR initiatives and special projects.

What You Bring
Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who are/have:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
SHRM or HRCI Certification preferred
Three years of experience, preferred in Human Resources related field with employee relations focus
Possess strong knowledge of laws that govern employment and clear understanding of when to involve the Law Department in resolving issues.
Bi-lingual - Spanish preferred
Experience providing guidance in a Union Environment

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degreeor equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 3 years
