The South Division of Kleinfelder area is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer, PE to join our Atlanta team. Great opportunity to join a dynamic team, working collaboratively with other disciplines to achieve client and professional satisfaction. Project work is diverse, including both public and private sectors and in many different markets including local, state and municipal, telecommunications, oil and gas, mining, industrial/commercial, as well as healthcare, higher education, senior living and multi-family housing. The Engineer may be required to perform activities such as field investigation, electrical calculations, analysis and design, cost estimating, field measurements, preparation and correction of field drawings, preparation of operating and maintenance instructions, data analysis, compilation and reporting of technical data and performance of other related duties for projects involving electrical judgement.

As an Engineer with Kleinfelder, you will be expected to:

Review designs and documentation to ensure compliance with codes, standards and design criteria Prepare designs, calculations, schematics, layouts, and studies from field inspections, preliminary sketches, specifications, and instructions requiring knowledge of engineering practices and shop and field procedures Develop asset data integrity strategy, including processes for data capture and validation Perform asset investigation. Create electric components list and capture required asset information Acquire and analyze data using appropriate standard quantitative methods Prepare Construction Specification and Bid Package Provide technical guidance to team members on Electrical Engineering test methods Develop status reports with task completion, progress, challenges and solutions Coordinate electrical design with civil, mechanical, structural, fire protection and other involved disciplines Coordinate with internal teams on design and value engineering input, in preparation for permitting and interconnection. Leverage cost and performance knowledge to inform early-stage design decisions and equipment selection. Develop and lead cost estimating tools across both construction and procurement; expand cost estimating data source and accuracy. Perform detailed engineering designs and technical reviews of low voltage distribution, high voltage transmission, and PV solar design packages

Consideration for an Engineer position requires the following certifications or experience:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Minimum 10 years of relevant experience Familiarity with instrumentation and controls design for remote control, feedback and automation (preferred) Familiarity with telecommunications cell tower electrical engineering Professional Engineer License Working knowledge of CAD and GIS software (desired) Familiarity with the National Electric Code (NED), electrical power transmission and distribution systems (desired) Proficiency in Technical Communication Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
