White Cap Senior Real Estate Finance and Strategy Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia

Responsible for assisting the real estate and business operations teams in the analysis and evaluation of potential real estate investments, leases, and operational strategies related to our distribution network. Supports the development and implementation of financial models, preparing reports, and performing research to identify trends and opportunities in the business and overall real estate market. Demonstrates a strong foundation in financial analysis, a keen interest in real estate, and a collaborative mindset to support the strategic objectives of the business.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

Support the preparation and analysis of financial models for the acquisition, leasing, and development of real estate assets in the distribution network.

Assist in the evaluation of market trends, and lease terms to provide insights into potential real estate decisions.

Conduct financial analysis to determine the feasibility and financial impact of potential real estate projects and investments.

Collect and analyze data to support decision-making, including market research, lease comparisons, and property performance metrics.

Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management regarding real estate investments and strategies.

Support the budgeting and forecasting process for real estate assets, ensuring accurate projections for occupancy costs, capital expenditures, and operational expenses.

Perform scenario analysis and sensitivity tests to assess the financial impact of different real estate strategies and decisions.

Collaborate with internal teams, including supply chain, operations, and finance, to understand real estate needs and provide analytical support for optimizing the distribution network.

Monitor and track the performance of real estate assets, ensuring alignment with operational and financial objectives.

Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions to assist in strategic planning.

Nature and Scope

  • Identifies key barriers/core problems and applies problem solving skills in order to deal creatively with complex situations. Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems. Makes decisions under conditions of uncertainty, sometimes with incomplete information, that produce effective end results.

  • Independently performs assignments with instruction limited to the expected results. Determines and develops an approach to solutions. Receives technical guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues.

  • May oversee the completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc. Contributes to employees' professional development but does not have hiring or firing authority.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid or Remote Opportunities Available Based on Location. Eligible candidates residing in the greater Atlanta area will be asked to work 2x a week in our new Headquarters.

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally, 5-8 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 3-5 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with financial software or tools (e.g., CoStar, OneStream)

  • Basic understanding of supply chain and logistics operations

  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and data analysis.

  • Understanding of real estate markets and the logistics or distribution industry is a plus.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
