CAI has an immediate opening for a .NET Developer. This role will be responsible for overseeing application design and development best practices, and for providing thought leadership on the use of application frameworks and modern development practices. This is a full-time salaried position.
Job Description
We are looking for a .Net Developer to be responsible for overseeing application design and development best practices. This position will be full-time and remote.
What You'll Do
Produce effective solution designs, follow best practices in development, CI/CD, and use of frameworks
Lead impact analysis, task/component breakdown, and estimation of large development efforts and technical upgrades
Assess and maintain the health of enterprise applications in the CAI portfolio
Participate in discovery of functional and non-functional requirements from key stakeholders
Engage in troubleshooting efforts and provide technical leadership
Execute Proofs of Concept (POCs) / Proofs of Technology (POTs) in support of CAI and client initiatives
Responsible for design and development work at a senior level
Working directly with clients and leading development teams through the SDLC
What You'll Need
Required:
This role will have a high level of client visibility. The ideal candidate will blend deep hands-on technical skill with the ability to present to all levels of staff, including client staff
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject; or equivalent real-world experience
6+ years of experience designing enterprise-level applications using Microsoft Frameworks and .NET Core platforms
Strong experience with relational databases and SQL writing; SQL Server preferred
Strong documentation skills including the ability to create design specifications
Proven hands-on Software Design and Development experience
Excellent written and oral communication
Experience with aspects of Web Application Security - authentication & authorization, user management, security scanning tools and vulnerability remediation, etc.
Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and middleware integrations (SOAP & REST/JSON services, MQ, DataPower, IIB, etc.)
Preferred:
In-depth knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms using development tools (knowledge of Visual Studio, Jenkins, SonarQube, and IIS is preferred, but not required)
Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud is a plus (App Services, Azure Functions, MSAL Authentication)
Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Pages is desired, but not required
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
