We are a dynamic hybrid workplace environment that requires at least 2 days a week in the office.
Provides leadership and direction to a team of Information Technology (IT) professionals in the creation, delivery, and
support of software. Consults with stakeholders to understand business needs and to formulate plans to address the
requirements through the development and deployment of IT solutions. Contributes to the establishment of strategic and
departmental goals. Assists director with analytical, financial, and administrative responsibilities of the department. Plans,
manages, and coordinates activities of their project team.
Key Responsibilities:
Manages staff by assigning projects, tasks, and providing direction and prioritization of their work. Develops staff objectives in alignment with the department’s strategic and tactical objectives and evaluates performance against the established criteria. Recommends salary actions, promotions, and other personnel activities, including disciplinary actions under the Bank’s progressive discipline policy. Ensures continued technical and professional development of their staff.
Oversees a portfolio of application and development support initiatives. Develops and maintains project plans to meet business requirements and comply with departmental and FR System standards and practices. Ensures consistency and quality of development and support efforts by monitoring and reviewing completed deliverables.
Consults with all levels of management, staff, and business-line stakeholders to understand their automation needs. Recommends solutions that align with the strategic direction of the bank, business lines, and the Federal Reserve. Helps formulate business cases to support recommendations, including alternatives, financials, and other decision criteria.
Performs administrative duties as required that includes preparing status reports, communications, reviewing system support charges for accuracy, estimating projects, providing input into the department's budget, and provides updates on the strategic metrics and departmental operational performance.
Leads and/or participates in one or more of the department’s continuous improvement workgroups. Identifies and recommends improvements to processes, procedures, and other aspects of the program. Serves as a subject matter expert for multiple process areas. Ensures staff compliance with the department’s engineering processes.
Maintains up-to-date technical knowledge of application development, information security, network, and other technology disciplines through education, professional literature, and conferences. Stays informed on FRS and industry-related application development methodologies, processes, and best practices.
Participates and/or leads System-level workgroups that pertain to application and solutions delivery. Represents the interest of our district and business line partners on the workgroup(s).
Education: Bachelor's Degree or 4 years equivalent experience; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Experience: Five to Eight years preferred
