Responsible for monitoring, supporting and management of application running in production including managing and correcting issues and providing break-fix operation support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Lead BI Platforms Operations Vendor Teams (20+ vendor resources) that are responsible for: a. Administration of BI Platform components, services and solutions (Microstrategy, QlikView, QlikSense, nPrinting, Tableau, Alteryx, Metric Insights, PowerBI, Sigma) b. Management of 1000+ batch jobs (ESP), dashboards, reporting, etc. and full enforcement of SLAs and OLAs c. Planning and execution of platform upgrades and infrastructure patching while enabling best practices to ensure stability. d. Change, request, incident, problem, IAM/SUSA access, and capacity management e. Risk findings and audit request management remediation. f. Support of migration activities via CI/CD and SDLC programs to target production platforms. g. Cross training and mentorship of vendor resources to build a cohesive team. h. Product management of Rally PI Initiatives for BI Tools, present and future state.

  • Lead the onboarding of target state cloud platforms (Metric Insight, Microstrategy, Tableau, QlikSense, Alteryx, PowerBI, Sigma) and for providing end to end, white glove support services.

  • Drive operating efficiencies via performance improvements and implementation of automation opportunities.

  • May lead and/or participate in all stages of the SDLC development process, providing inputs to the development teams including designing, building, and testing. Develops useful tools such as internal software to automate key processes or platforms where customers can send inquiries and reviews.

  • Troubleshoot the most complex technical issues.

  • Analyze available data and find the root cause of the problem.

  • Develop technical solutions by providing problem analysis and resolution in a timely manner and explain and interpret complex, difficult, or sensitive information.

  • Provide users with progress updates.

  • Partner with engineers, data scientists, and the data office leadership to define and refine data architecture and technology choices.

  • Develop and recommend appropriate documentation for logging product issues including observations, diagnoses, and action steps. Generates weekly reports summarizing production performance, release notes for upgrades, and troubleshooting guides.

  • Take a new perspective on existing solutions to solve problems of the highest complexity and exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information and make recommendations.

  • Lead larger, more complex data engineering projects and initiatives with significant risks and resource requirements.

  • Mentor less experienced teammates to build technical expertise.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience in development or support or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Specialized knowledge of data technologies (ETL, Data warehouse, Databases, SAS and other Analytics tools).

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities and ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.

  • Deep knowledge of ITIL process.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree and 8 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Previous experience in management of Data platforms (ETL, Data warehouse, Databases, SAS and other Analytics tools)

  • Banking or financial services experience.
