Robert Half Staff Accountant in Atlanta, Georgia

Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in the financial services industry, located in Atlanta, Georgia. As a Staff Accountant, your primary responsibilities will involve managing investment transactions, supporting financial processes, and aiding in report generation and audit preparations. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage investment transactions, including the regular preparation and filing of funding and distribution notices.

• Support financial processes by preparing PCS wire transfer forms for fundings and redemptions, and coordinating with the CFO for transmission to banks and/or investment managers.

• Enter funding, distribution, and valuation data into the Private i (Pi) platform, and reconcile this data with bank account records on a monthly and quarterly basis.

• Assist in the generation of Deployment Reports, Performance Reports, and summaries of liquidity and redemption terms as required.

• Provide support for the annual Investment Committee presentation, including the preparation of meeting minutes and attendance at Subcommittee meetings to ensure accurate record-keeping.

• Prepare investment confirmation forms for the annual audit and assist with other audit preparation tasks as assigned.

• Update cash forecasts with fundings, distributions, and expenses on a weekly basis.

• Use Blackline software and other relevant accounting systems and software to perform accounting tasks efficiently and accurately. Requirements • Proficient in accounting software systems

• Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services

• Familiar with AMSI and AppFolio

• Comprehensive understanding of accounting functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Accrual Accounting

• Proficient in account coding

• Experience in auditing

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• High level of integrity and dependability

• Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
