We are looking for a Beach House Operator to join our Catalyst team in Attapulgus, GA.

BASF’s Catalysts division is the global market leader in catalyst technologies. The division develops and produces mobile emissions catalysts as well as process catalysts and offers precious metals trading, recycling and related products and services.
As a Beach House Operator, you will operate filtration process equipment at our EVR catalyst manufacturing site in Attapulgus, Georgia, while complying with all environmental, health, and safety procedures.
During your rotating shift as a Beach House Operator, you will
Comply with all Ecology, Health, & Safety policies and procedures.
Understand, monitor and operate equipment within process safety operational guidelines and report all safety incidents.
Comply with all process orders, operating procedures, temporary work instructions, and all other tasks assigned by management.
Maintain housekeeping in the assigned housekeeping areas.
Operate, start up, and shutdown all equipment associated with clarification and filtration of nitrate and silicate effluent streams (rotary drum filters, pressure filters, clarifier, and belt press).
Operate all auxiliary equipment (filter aid system, screw conveyors, pumps, rotary feeders, polymer system, valves, strainers, etc.) associated with filtration of nitrate / silicate effluent streams.
Sample products and run tests in lab for analysis.
Monitor inventories of fines and filter aid bin levels.
Transfer fines to holding bins from trucks, railcars, and other holding bins.
Monitor and adjust polymer usage levels to Nitrate clarifier and belt press.
Transfer nitrate and silicate effluents from tank to tank.
Keep beach house area sumps clear and clean.
Be able to climb ladders and stairs to access tanks and bins.
Perform other duties as assigned.
If you...
Have a high school Diploma andprevious experience in chemical or manufacturing plant.
Have the ability to safely operate, maintain, perform minor repairs, and make proper adjustments on associated equipment in work areas.
Hold the ability to read, write, and perform accurate arithmetic calculations using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Possess the ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions, and have the ability to learn all process flows for area of operation.
Are proficient in Microsoft Outlook Email, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Teams.

Pay transparency
The pay rate for this role is $27.63 per the Union's collective bargaining agreement.
