We are in a “Growth Mode” and committed to excellence and continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes. We’re looking for a talented Lead Manufacturing Engineer specializing in Automation to join our dynamic team in the Auburn, Maine Metro Area.

Position Overview:

As a Lead Manufacturing Engineer - Automation, you will play a critical role in enhancing our manufacturing processes through advanced automation technologies. You will lead projects aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring product quality. This is a Direct Hire position, Fulltime, Permanent job.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement automation systems for manufacturing processes.

  • Conduct feasibility studies and ROI analysis for automation projects.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of new automated equipment and systems.

  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing automation systems for enhanced performance.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to production teams and staff.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for automated systems, including SOPs, training materials, and technical specifications.

  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in manufacturing automation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering with a focus on automation.

  • Proficiency in modern automation technologies such as PLCs, robotics, and machine vision systems preferred.

  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Experience working for Modern, High Volume, Low Error Manufacturing Company, preferred.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Strong communication and project management skills.

  • CAD proficiency
