We are in a “Growth Mode” and committed to excellence and continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes. We’re looking for a talented Lead Manufacturing Engineer specializing in Automation to join our dynamic team in the Auburn, Maine Metro Area.
Position Overview:
As a Lead Manufacturing Engineer - Automation, you will play a critical role in enhancing our manufacturing processes through advanced automation technologies. You will lead projects aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring product quality. This is a Direct Hire position, Fulltime, Permanent job.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement automation systems for manufacturing processes.
Conduct feasibility studies and ROI analysis for automation projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Oversee the installation and commissioning of new automated equipment and systems.
Troubleshoot and optimize existing automation systems for enhanced performance.
Provide technical guidance and support to production teams and staff.
Develop and maintain documentation for automated systems, including SOPs, training materials, and technical specifications.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in manufacturing automation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering with a focus on automation.
Proficiency in modern automation technologies such as PLCs, robotics, and machine vision systems preferred.
Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Experience working for Modern, High Volume, Low Error Manufacturing Company, preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong communication and project management skills.
CAD proficiency
What We Offer:
Our minimum starting salary for this position is $100,000 per year, with flexibility for a higher starting salary based on your experience and skill set.
