Salary Range: $16.50 To 24.50 Hourly

Position: Inspector Level II
Department: Quality Reports to: Quality Management Wage: $16.50 - $24.50/hr.

SUMMARY The quality inspector is reliable, possesses a high degree of attention to detail, along with prior manufacturing inspection experience. EMCom has a diverse array of products that vary greatly in complexity in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have the ability to maintain confidentiality, work under pressure, and communicate with other team members to ensure our quality standards are met, without exception.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform routine inspections verification of requirements, and documentation of results at all stages of development and processing (Development/Prototype, Incoming, First Piece, In-process, Final, Packing, and Shipment) Support and maintain updated communications/tools for all inspect activities (Incoming, RMA) RMA Perform inspection, verification of requirements, and documentation of results (manual and electronic formats) Certificate of Compliance - Prepare, sign, issue, and maintain documented records. Interpret standards and specifications such as IPC, ISO 9001 Inspect products and processes in accordance with applicable IPC Standards Other duties as assigned. SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Prior experience as a quality inspector is required. Basic Knowledge of root cause/corrective action methods and practices Clear understanding of ISO9001/2015 Ability to professionally communicate across various methods such as phone, email and in person. Knowledge of PCBs, cabling, and wire harness is a plus. Ability to read drawings and work instructions. Trained to applicable IPC standards (i.e., IPC 610,620, J-STD) High School Diploma or Equivalent LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information, reports, and documents. Ability to communicate effectively across multiple site functions and team members. Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Operation of or proximity to materials and mechanical parts, most commonly moving machinery used in manufacturing of electronic & cable products. OSHA approved safety glasses with side shields are provided by EmCom at no cost to employees. ANSI Z87-2 prescription glasses will be provided to the employee at no cost. The noise level in the building is moderate, hearing protection is available to employees. Some processes use leaded and unleaded solder chemistry. Proper ventilation and Personal Protective Equipment is provided.
