Position Overview
We're looking for detail-oriented Manufacturing Quality Technicians to aid their team across two shifts:
- Morning Shift : 5:30 AM - 3:00 PM
- Afternoon Shift : 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM
As a Manufacturing Quality Technician II, you'll play a crucial role in upholding our reputation for excellence by ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards. You'll work directly with the manufacturing teams to identify, solve, and prevent quality issues through structured problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Conduct thorough inspections of in-process and finished goods, providing immediate feedback to manufacturing teams
- Perform daily quality checks in high-risk zones and track improvements to ensure long-term effectiveness
- Support engineers in solving production issues using structured problem-solving techniques
- Identify and implement error-proofing methods to eliminate defects
- Train and coach manufacturing team members on quality standards and procedures
- Participate in problem-solving teams to address customer-reported issues
What You Bring
- Associates degree in a relevant field or comparable work experience
- 2-4 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems
- Knowledge of Lean principles, Six Sigma, and other problem-solving methods
- Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
- Ability to make evidence-based decisions using data analysis
- Mechanical aptitude and hands-on approach to problem-solving
Preferred Qualifications
- American Society of Quality (ASQ) certification or similar credentials
- Experience in automotive or similar manufacturing environments
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and walk throughout the facility
- Occasional lifting of objects up to 50 pounds
- Comfort working around moving machinery and vehicles
- Willingness to use required personal protective equipment
