Sevita RN Nursing Manager - Augusta, GA in Augusta, Georgia

Nursing Manager – RN

Use your RN and managing experience to improve the lives of individuals with neurological conditions while providing meaningful support to your co-workers. This role will work alongside our nursing and management teams as well as the direct care staff to ensure excellent care for our participants. This role is a combination of both hands on care and training as well as administrative tasks.

  • Direct and manage the quality of nursing assessments, nursing diagnoses, plans, implementation, and evaluation

  • Monitor the nursing delegation process in conjunction with providing direct care required by RN

  • Ensure required training is completed, assist with delegation decisions, and develop procedures for assigned tasks

  • Review the medical information of referred individuals for appropriateness of management in the program

  • Coordinate and oversee the nursing intake process, service plan, Minimum Data Set, and other information related to the nursing care of the individual being served

  • Develop and lead medical and clinical training in conjunction with the Program Director and Program Manager and if needed the Medical Director

  • Apply expert clinical judgment to care situations based on accepted nursing standards, state administrative codes, contract obligations, policies, procedures, and corporate/state/CARF Quality of Care standards

  • Evaluate nursing staff’s knowledge and application of law, regulation, and policies

  • Conduct on-going quality assurance and improvement audits; implement changes as needed within the nursing realm.

  • Develop and implement nursing-related QI systems to document all performance evaluation and treatment processes

  • Develop systems to effectively coordinate and integrate care using community resources in collaboration with Clinical Team and others

  • Compile and analyze QA data and make recommendations; coordinate responses to address widespread QA concerns within a state as needed

  • Participate in the development and implementation of service plans and supervise the medical components of the plans

  • Review and update all nursing-related care plans on a regular basis

  • Oversee and complete as needed the management of high-risk medical conditions and private duty nursing services

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree and current state of Georgia RN license

  • Minimum of five years of experience working with medically and/or behaviorally complex individuals; experience with children with special needs preferred One year of supervisory experience

  • Current driver's license in state of Georgia

  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task

  • Strong communication skills with ability to build rapport with others

  • Well-organized with ability to prioritize tasks and workload
