The Department of Agriculture, Conservation & Forestry; Bureau of Parks & Lands announces a vacancy in Augusta for an Office Associate II.
BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:This is office and administrative support work performing complex, various office support tasks. The position will provide primary clerical support to Parks & Lands central office staff, as well as the Submerged Lands Division, Recreational Trails Program, and Reservations.
Duties include:
Providing telephone and lobby reception
Responding to public inquiries and requests for information
Scheduling conference rooms
Making copies/scans of various documents, and requesting, collecting, distributing, filing and retrieving bureau management data
Sorting and distributing mail
Ordering and distributing supplies, collating and reviewing credit card invoices for accuracy
Preparing purchase orders and requisitions
Preparing and submitting contracts using the Advantage system
Processing daily cash receipts
Creating bank deposits and recording transactions according to Bureau policies and procedures using the Advantage system
Make all Bureau travel arrangements using travel credit card
Provide assistance to other regional office clerical staff
Assist with the sale of park passes and promotional items
Assist with fee and revenue sharing payments
Track camplot and submerged lands lease billing and payments in various databases
Assist with preparing documents for federal grants/contracts
Handle group exemption passes
Handle truck and public use reports
This position will have flexibility to work remotely, consistent with Department policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Training, education, or experience in office and administrative support work that demonstrates 1) competency in applying a solid knowledge of modern office practices to perform complex, varied office support tasks, and 2) the ability to use independent decision-making on the appropriate processes to follow, information to process, and actions to take in accordance with standard procedures. All positions in this classification assume the qualifications of: Office Assistant I, Office Assistant II, and Office Associate I.
Preference will be given to candidates withknowledge of Parks and Lands.
