Job Title: BIM Technician/Designer
Job Description
This position is responsible for assisting in the preparation of construction documents for projects under the direction of lead staff. This includes CAD and BIM modeling of plans, components, and connections, as well as reports needed for production and erection. Duties include coordination of architectural, civil, structural, and MEP plans, elevations, and details.
Responsibilities include:
Prepare all work in accordance with approved office processes, formats, and standards
Work on assigned tasks under the direction of engineering staff, performing engineering analyses and calculations as appropriate
Prepare required documents in CAD or BIM under the direction of engineering staff
Develop presentations for sales prospects using Revit or other 3D modeling platforms
Perform tasks accurately and on time with necessary guidance, proactively seeking advice as needed
Manage other staff members when assigned as a Task Leader, ensuring deadlines and budgeted hours are met
Participate in external and in-house seminars and training sessions
Contribute to the development of in-house processes, checklists, and standards
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of Junior College Associates Degree
2+ years of post-graduate work experience in a related field
This does not include internship experience
Knowledge of BIM in a related field (structural or MEP)
Must be local- this role is hybrid/in-office: 3 days in office
