Your responsibilities Position Summary Assure that the utilization of numerically controlled machine tools is maximized, as well as to assure that the workload is such that optimum economies are realized. Assist in developing and maintaining process routers and documentation to ensure an effective and efficient manufacturing process with high quality standards. Assist cost quotes and router updates with accurate predictions of process time. Also, provide technical support to the manufacturing facility while optimizing the balance between quality, productivity, sales and safety. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Individual Responsibilities & Accountabilities: Calculate and provide NC program times and thus machining times as well as tooling information and cost. Review customer order information in SAP and recommend changes in specifications and internal standards if needed. Develop accurate NC programs and define required tooling for creating high quality products along the defined routers using ESPRIT. Propose, initiate and perform process analysis and improvement projects with respective development orders, documentation and controlling. Upgrade old NC tapes to modern CAM environment. Review and improve as well as develop work instructions to ensure process consistency and quality. Develop and define NC programming standards to ensure process consistency and quality as well as continuous improvement. Assist in the evaluation, selection and activation of capital equipment. Perform analysis of process deviations and production problems with resulting proposal of corrective actions regarding the failure cause and systematic lacks. Assist production control in resolving scheduling problems and communicate with everyone providing information and data as required. Preparation of manuscripts, tools, methods, process and set-up sheets, tapes and tape optimization for all numerically controlled machine tools. Assist in perishable tooling evaluation. Assist in technical and commercial discussion with tooling vendors. Act as liaison between management and hourly employees, as well as between Aurora and Florence personnel, while recommending and implementing changes to routings, designs and machine processes. Review daily ECN system for requested program changes. Support the corporate ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certifications as well as all safety initiatives. Participate in weekly Manufacturing Engineering and NC Programming meeting. Attend MRB meetings as scheduled. Follow all company policies and procedures. Report to appropriate member(s) of management any incidents or issues where policies may have been violated. i.e. - Work Place Harassment. Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Team Responsibilities & Accountabilities: Attend plant production meetings as well as other research analysis meetings to aid in refining productions processes. Provide support and feedback to the production team to ensure a quality product is produced on-time and to the customer's expectations.
