Your responsibilities Position Summary The Environmental Health, Safety, and Energy Management Engineer (EHS Eng.) is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing programs for all personnel at the Aurora, Ohio and Florence, Kentucky facilities; that ensures a safe and environmentally compliant workplace while optimizing energy usage. This role involves conducting risk assessments, managing safety procedures, overseeing energy management initiatives, and ensuring regulatory compliance to protect the health and well-being of employees, the community, and the environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Individual/Management Responsibilities & Accountabilities: Regulatory & ISO Compliance: Ensure company operations comply with local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and specific ISO certifications (ISO 9001; ISO 14001; ISO 45001; & ISO 50001). Safety Programs: Develop and implement safety programs and protocols to minimize workplace hazards. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential risks. Environmental Management: Monitor and manage environmental impacts of company operations. Develop and oversee waste management and recycling programs. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards. Ensure the proper Hazardous or Non-Hazardous Waste Manifest is used, returned and filed. Energy Management: Implement and manage energy efficiency programs to reduce energy consumption and costs. Conduct energy audits and assessments to identify opportunities for improvement. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for energy usage. Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and safety audits. Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks. Training: Develop and deliver training programs for employees on safety procedures, energy management practices, and environmental policies. Ensure all employees are aware of and adhere to safety and environmental policies. Incident Investigation: Assist in the follow up and ongoing investigation of any workplace accidents and environmental incidents or near misses. Review/prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in environmental health, safety, and energy management. Team Responsibilities & Accountabilities: Interface with all plant personnel at both locations regarding EHS concerns and projects and to address any safety or environmental concerns or violations. Provide professional guidance and technical support for the Safety Committees at both locations related to Environmental, Health & Safety topics. Must be able to maintain confidentiality in matters regarding security, personnel and any other related issue. Continually see
